Fr. Philip during the Corpus Christi Procession

The Precious Blood Sisters Convent in Riruta was the site of a deeply moving Corpus Christi celebration presided over by Fr. Philip CMM. The event drew a large congregation, eager to participate in the solemn occasion that honours the real presence of Christ in the Eucharist.

Fr. Philip delivered a beautiful homily that resonated deeply with the attendees. He spoke eloquently about the self-giving nature of Jesus, emphasizing that in Him, we have all that we need. "All we need is to trust in Him always," he reminded the sisters, encouraging them to lean on their faith during times of need.

Following the Mass, the celebration continued with a traditional procession around the convent grounds. The congregation, led by Fr. Philip and the Precious Blood Sisters, carried the Blessed Sacrament in a display of devotion and reverence. The procession is a significant part of Corpus Christi traditions, symbolizing the public profession of faith and the honour given to the presence of Christ in the Eucharist.

The atmosphere was filled with prayer and song, as the faithful expressed their gratitude and devotion. The event not only highlighted the spiritual significance of Corpus Christi but also fostered a sense of community and shared faith among those present.

The Precious Blood Sisters Convent in Riruta continues to be an inspiration of spiritual nourishment and community engagement, hosting events that deepen the faith and unity of the congregation. This year’s Corpus Christi celebration was a testament to the enduring power of faith and the importance of coming together to honour the central mysteries of the Catholic faith.
